Soil tensiometer site selection for coffee farming?

1. Setup a tensiometer station for every coffee with one-year growth difference and a different soil type (textural type).
2. For every 2.5 acres (1Ha) you should have at least one station provided the soil type is the same throughout and coffee age.
3. Install into the active root zone of the coffee tree and in the wetted area of the irrigation system.
4. Setup the shallow soil tensiometer for coffee trees aged 0-2 years at a depth of 15cm. Note: the deep tensiometer is not needed.
5. Setup for coffee tress age 2 years and more as follows: shallow tensiometer at and deep tensiometer at 45-60cm.
6. For mature coffee trees more 2 years old install the shallow tensiometer at 25% of the root zone depth (25-30cm). And the deeper one at 75% of the root zone depth (55- 60cm).
